About Black Friday America

Who writes this

Ed Hollinghurst, Founder & Editor. Ed researches and hand-checks every deal on this site. He has been tracking Black Friday pricing for years and only lists products he would buy himself.

How we choose deals

We start with products that have a strong record in independent testing and owner reviews. For each one we compare the Black Friday price against what it has actually sold for in recent months, not the manufacturer's list price, which is often inflated to make a discount look bigger than it is. A product earns a place only when it is genuinely good and the saving is genuinely real.

Every price shown carries the time it was last checked. During Black Friday week we re-check prices daily and update or remove deals that have expired.

How we make money

When you buy through a link on this site we may earn a commission from the retailer. This never changes the price you pay and never changes which products we recommend or how we rank them. Details are in our affiliate disclosure.
