An air fryer is one of the easier Black Friday buys to get right, because the popular models tend to hit their lowest prices in the same few weeks. Last year, seven of our eight Picks sold for their lowest price of the past 12 months between late October and Cyber Monday. Some have already moved: the Ninja AF141 is under $80, matching its low for the past year.
We checked every price on this page against what each fryer actually sold for over the past 90 days, not against the list price. Where a fryer is not discounted yet, we say so.
Our picks at a glance
8 deals1.The fryer most testers agree on: accurate heat, a roomy square basket and quiet running. At its usual price for now.
2.Fast, simple and compact, and back under $80, which matches its lowest price of the past year.
3.Two baskets that finish together plus a built-in meat thermometer, for families. Above its usual price right now.
4.A tester-approved budget fryer for one or two people, about $10 under its usual price right now.
5.A window in the drawer lets you watch food brown without opening it. Selling above its usual price right now.
6.Stainless steel body and a ceramic-coated basket for buyers who want to avoid PTFE. Not discounted.
7.A countertop oven that air fries and roasts a 14 lb turkey. Worth buying only after its price drops.
8.A wide, shallow basket fits a frozen pizza or a full batch of wings in one layer, and it has a self-cleaning cycle.
Our picks
#1Best overall
Cosori TurboBlaze 6-Qt Air Fryer
by Cosori
The TurboBlaze is the fryer most independent testers landed on this year. RTINGS, TODAY and Engadget all rank it at or near the top, and TechGearLab measured unusually accurate temperatures. It also wins on basket shape: the square 6-quart drawer holds more food in a single layer than a round basket of the same capacity.
RTINGS called it close against the Ninja AF141 below, which preheats faster and holds its temperature more steadily. The TurboBlaze earns first place on space, versatility and noise. On price, it is sitting at about $100, roughly what it sold for over the past three months, so this is not a deal yet. It dropped under $90 in Thanksgiving week last year.
Pros
- +Even cooking and accurate temperature in independent tests
- +Square 6-quart basket fits more food in one layer than round ones
- +Quieter than the Ninja basket fryers
- +Nine cooking modes
Cons
- −Small foods can slip through the crisper tray
- −Temperature wobbles at the highest fan speed
- −Crisper tray stays hot for a while after cooking
- Capacity
- 6 qt
- Type
- Single basket
- Good for
- 2 to 4 people

#2
Ninja Air Fryer Pro AF141, 5 Qt
by Ninja
The AF141 was the top pick at both Wirecutter and Tom's Guide, and it is the right choice if you want a fryer you never have to think about. Four modes, simple controls, a fast preheat and steady heat make it predictable from the first batch.
It is also the clearest deal on this page right now. Under $80 is about $30 below what it sold for over the past three months and matches its lowest price of the past year. Skip it if noise bothers you or you cook for more than three; the TurboBlaze above is quieter and holds more.
Pros
- +Preheats quickly and holds temperature steadily
- +Simple controls with little to learn
- +Compact enough for a small counter
Cons
- −Loud, about 72 dB in Tom's Guide's test
- −Runs hot: Wirecutter measured about 430°F at a 400°F setting
- −Only four functions and a narrow temperature range
- Capacity
- 5 qt
- Type
- Single basket
- Good for
- 1 to 3 people

#3
Ninja Foodi DualZone Smart XL DZ550, 10 Qt
by Ninja
RTINGS rates the DZ550 its best air fryer outright, and for families it is easy to see why. Two separate baskets each run their own program, Smart Finish times them to end together, and the built-in thermometer tells you when chicken is done without guessing. Chicken in one drawer and fries in the other is the use case it was built for.
The price is the problem. It costs more right now than its recent typical price of about $220, and it fell to about $130 a year ago. We would wait for a Black Friday cut before buying. It also needs a deep counter, so measure first.
Pros
- +Two independent 5-quart baskets
- +Smart Finish times both baskets to end together
- +Built-in thermometer probe for meat
Cons
- −Takes up a lot of counter space
- −Crisper plates are fiddly to wash by hand
- Capacity
- 10 qt (2 x 5 qt)
- Type
- Dual basket
- Good for
- 4 to 6 people

#4Best budget
Gourmia 4-Qt Digital Air Fryer
by Gourmia
Wirecutter named a Gourmia 4-quart its budget pick because it cooks properly for very little money. It suits one or two people, a first apartment, or a second fryer for side dishes.
Expect compromises. It heats more slowly and crisps less than the AF141, and the touchscreen is busy. At a little over $50 it is about $10 below its usual price. It fell under $45 on Cyber Monday last year, so a further cut is possible.
Pros
- +Low price for a fryer that cooks decently
- +4-quart basket suits one or two people
- +12 presets
Cons
- −Heats more slowly and crisps less than pricier fryers
- −Cluttered touchscreen and shrill beeps
- −One-year warranty and no replacement parts
- Capacity
- 4 qt
- Type
- Single basket
- Good for
- 1 to 2 people

#5
Instant Vortex Plus 6-Qt with ClearCook and OdorErase
by Instant
The Vortex Plus is the pick for anyone who likes to watch food brown. A window in the drawer lets you check progress without pulling the basket and losing heat. Engadget ranks it its best air fryer, and Consumer Reports praised its controls, quiet running and easy cleanup.
Two caveats. The odor filter does little, according to both Engadget and Reviewed, and Consumer Reports measured the basket at 5.2 quarts rather than 6. And it is selling for more than its recent typical price of about $120. It dropped under $90 last November, so wait for Black Friday.
Pros
- +ClearCook window in the drawer
- +Simple controls
- +Quiet, with a basket that cleans easily
Cons
- −The odor filter makes little difference
- −Consumer Reports measured 5.2 quarts, not 6
- Capacity
- 6 qt
- Type
- Single basket with window
- Good for
- 2 to 4 people

#6Best premium
Cosori Iconic Stainless Steel Smart Air Fryer, 6.5 Qt
by Cosori
The Iconic is for buyers who care about materials: a stainless steel body and a ceramic-coated basket that Cosori says is PFAS-free. Reviewed named it its best stainless steel fryer for consistent, even results, and Engadget liked the companion app.
It costs about two and a half times as much as the TurboBlaze, which tops more test rankings, and its price has held at $249 with no discount in the price history we checked. Buy it for the build and coating, not for a Black Friday saving.
Pros
- +Stainless steel housing
- +Ceramic-coated basket that Cosori says is PFAS-free
- +Even, consistent crisping in Reviewed's tests
- +Wi-Fi app that Engadget found useful
Cons
- −Expensive for a basket fryer
- −Stainless finish shows fingerprints
- −You have to start cooking at the unit, not from the app
- −New-appliance smell at first use
- Capacity
- 6.5 qt
- Type
- Single basket
- Good for
- 2 to 4 people

#7
Breville Smart Oven Air Fryer Pro BOV900BSS
by Breville
The Breville is the choice if you want to replace a toaster oven and an air fryer with one appliance. America's Test Kitchen and Engadget both rank it the best air fryer toaster oven, and it fits a 14 lb turkey. Basket fryers still crisp faster and clean more easily, so buy this for range rather than fries.
It is selling a little above its recent typical price, close to $400. Last November it fell to about $300, and at that level it is a much easier recommendation. Wait for that cut.
Pros
- +Replaces a toaster oven as well as an air fryer
- +13 cooking modes
- +Fits a 14 lb turkey
Cons
- −Expensive and takes up a lot of counter space
- −Uncoated air fry basket is hard to clean
- −Parts are not dishwasher-safe
- Capacity
- Fits a 14 lb turkey
- Type
- Countertop oven
- Good for
- 4 to 6 people

#8
Typhur Dome 2 Smart Air Fryer
by Typhur
The Dome 2 takes a different shape: a wide, shallow basket that fits a frozen pizza or a full batch of wings in one layer. Consumer Reports named it the best large air fryer, and the self-cleaning mode cuts down on scrubbing.
Not every tester agrees. Wirecutter found it struggled to reach its top temperature, and at 22 lb it is not something you move around. It is about $18 under its recent typical price, a small saving on an expensive fryer. Last Thanksgiving weekend it fell to about $255.
Pros
- +Wide, shallow basket cooks more food in a single layer
- +Self-cleaning cycle
- +Heating elements above and below the food
Cons
- −Heavy at about 22 lb
- −Consumer Reports measured about 5 quarts of usable space
- −Wirecutter found it struggled to reach its top temperature
- −No window
- Capacity
- 5.7 qt
- Type
- Wide single basket
- Good for
- 2 to 4 people

How to choose an air fryer this Black Friday
Size it to your household. Four quarts suits one or two people, 5 to 6.5 quarts suits three or four, and families who cook a main and a side together should look at a dual-basket model. Basket shape matters as much as the quart number: a square or wide basket holds more food in one layer, and a single layer is what makes food crisp.
Decide between one basket and two. Dual baskets like the Ninja DZ550 cook two foods at different settings and finish them together. One large basket is better for a single big batch, like a tray of wings.
Think about noise and counter space. The Ninja AF141 is loud (about 72 dB in Tom's Guide's test), and the Breville and the DZ550 need a deep counter. If the fryer will live next to a living area, the TurboBlaze or the Vortex Plus is quieter.
Ignore the list price. Several fryers here show a list price they rarely sell at. The number that matters is what the fryer sold for over the past few months, which is the comparison we use above. A fryer that is not discounted against that number is not a deal, whatever the strikethrough says.
Buy early and keep the receipt. Amazon has extended its return window over the holidays in past years, so buying when a price you like appears carries little risk. If the price falls further before the return window closes, you can return it and buy again.
How we chose these air fryer deals
Every deal on this page was selected and checked by Ed Hollinghurst. We start from products with a strong track record in independent reviews and owner feedback, then compare the current Black Friday price against the product's typical selling price over the past months, not just the inflated list price. A deal only makes the cut if the product is genuinely good and the discount is real.
Product prices and availability are accurate as of the date/time indicated and are subject to change. Any price and availability information displayed on Amazon.com at the time of purchase will apply to the purchase of this product.
