Treadmills are one of the categories that do get cheaper in November. Last year the NordicTrack T Series 6.5 S fell to its lowest price of the past 12 months the day before Thanksgiving, about $250 under what it costs now, and the BowFlex Treadmill 10 bottomed out in early November. A month before Black Friday, most machines below still cost what they have sold for since summer; only the Horizon T101 Connect and the WalkingPad C2 are slightly under their recent averages.
We checked every price against what each treadmill sold for on Amazon over the past 90 days and its lowest price of the past year, not its list price. Where a machine is not discounted, or is sold by a third-party seller, its Pick says so.
Our picks at a glance
6 deals1.A folding treadmill you can run on, with no subscription to pay. Not discounted yet; it sold for about $935 in May.
2.The full-size folding treadmill for walking and jogging. About $40 under its 90-day average from Amazon.
3.NordicTrack's entry folding treadmill, with optional iFIT classes. Above its usual price; it fell to $549 last Thanksgiving week.
4.A walking pad that folds in half to store under a sofa or desk. A few dollars under its 90-day average, from a third-party seller.
5.The iFIT treadmill reviewers rank first, with decline and a pivoting screen. Sold by a third party at its usual price; we would wait.
6.Tied for the largest deck here, with the highest weight rating. A third-party seller has it far above its 12-month low, so wait.
Our picks
#1Best overall
Horizon Fitness 7.0 AT
by Horizon Fitness
The 7.0 AT is the treadmill we would buy to run on at home. Its 20 by 60 inch deck gives a full running stride, the 3.0 HP motor reaches 12 mph and 15% incline, and it still folds. Treadmill Review Guru named it its best value treadmill and Garage Gym Reviews picked it for interval training. There is no subscription to buy: it pairs over Bluetooth with Zwift, Peloton's app or Strava, so you keep the workouts you already use.
Skip it if you want a touchscreen or a quiet machine. The console looks dated, Garage Gym Reviews found it louder than most at speed, and at more than 250 lb it is not something you will move often.
It is not discounted yet. At about $1,100 from Amazon it costs around $60 more than its 90-day average, and it sold for about $935 in early May. That is the price we would wait for.
Pros
- +20 x 60 inch deck with room for a full running stride
- +15% incline and 12 mph top speed
- +Pairs with Zwift, Peloton and Strava apps over Bluetooth

#2Best budget
Horizon Fitness T101 Connect
by Horizon Fitness
For walkers and joggers, the T101 Connect does most of what the 7.0 AT does for about $360 less. It is the current version of the Horizon T101, which Treadmill Review Guru named its best walking treadmill for its cushioning and compact fold. BarBend points to the lifetime frame and motor warranty, rare at this price, and Garage Gym Reviews found it easy to put together.
Runners, and tall users in particular, should buy the 7.0 AT instead. The 55 inch deck shortens a running stride, speed tops out at 10 mph, and BarBend says it is not built for interval sprints.
At about $740 from Amazon it is around $40 under its 90-day average and $40 above its late-August low. That is a modest cut, but it makes this the cheapest full-size treadmill here.
Pros
- +Folds compactly for a full-size treadmill
- +Well-cushioned deck for walking and jogging
- +Lifetime frame and motor warranty
- +Easy assembly and one-touch speed keys
Cons
- −55 inch deck is short for running strides
- −Tops out at 10 mph and 10% incline
- −Deck wobbles when folded

#3
NordicTrack T Series 6.5 S
by NordicTrack
The T 6.5 S has the longest track record here: nearly 30,000 Amazon owners rate it 4.4 stars, far more ratings than anything else on this list. It is NordicTrack's entry-level folding machine, with the same 55 inch deck, 10 mph top speed and 10% incline as the T101 Connect, plus access to iFIT's trainer-led classes if you want them. Treadmill Review Guru found its 2.6 CHP motor adequate for walking and jogging.
It is not a running treadmill. Treadmill Review Guru says it does not suit tall users or long strides, and the 5 inch display is basic. If you will not use iFIT, the T101 Connect is the better buy at the prices we checked: it costs about $60 less for the same deck, speed and incline.
The price history favors waiting. At $799 from Amazon it costs about $45 more than its 90-day average, and it fell to $549 the day before Thanksgiving last year.
Pros
- +Rated 4.4 stars by nearly 30,000 Amazon owners
- +Works with iFIT trainer-led classes
- +Folds upright to save floor space
Cons
- −2.6 CHP motor is not built for sustained running
- −Short deck for tall users
- −Small 5 inch display

- 20" x 55"
- Top speed
- 10 mph

#4
WalkingPad C2
by WalkingPad
The C2 is for small apartments and walking at a standing desk. It folds in half to about 32 inches long and slides under a sofa or bed, which is why Garage Gym Reviews named it its best compact treadmill and Tom's Guide recommends it for tight spaces. With a 3.7 mph top speed, it is for walking while you work, not jogging.
Live Science found it fine in manual mode but was unimpressed by the foot-sensing automatic mode, and Garage Gym Reviews disliked stepping the speed up in small increments through the app. The 220 lb limit rules it out for some users; every full-size Pick here is rated for at least 300 lb.
It is sold by a third-party seller, not Amazon. At about $430 it is around $9 under its 90-day average and $45 above its late-August low, so the saving is small.
Pros
- +Folds in half to about 32 inches long
- +Slim enough to store under a bed or desk
- +Manual mode works well for desk walking
Cons
- −Walking only, with a 3.7 mph top speed
- −Speed changes in small steps through the app
- −Foot-sensing automatic mode is unreliable
- −220 lb weight limit
- Deck
- 47" x 16"
- Top speed

#5Best premium
NordicTrack Commercial 1750 (14-inch touchscreen)
by NordicTrack
The Commercial 1750 is the treadmill reviewers name first: it is Garage Gym Reviews' best overall and OutdoorGearLab's top choice for marathon training. The appeal is iFIT. Trainers change the speed and incline for you during classes, the touchscreen pivots for floor workouts, and the deck runs from a 3% decline to a 12% incline. OutdoorGearLab tested the 16 inch version. This listing has the 14 inch screen, because the 16 inch Amazon Exclusive was out of stock when we checked.
Without an iFIT membership much of that goes unused, so readers who will not pay monthly should buy the 7.0 AT. It weighs more than 300 lb, needs two people to assemble, and Garage Gym Reviews notes the warranty does not cover garage use.
We would not buy it at this price. A third-party seller has it at about $3,300, where it has sat for the past 90 days, and about $345 above its low a year ago.
Pros
- +iFIT trainers adjust speed and incline for you
- +Touchscreen pivots for floor workouts
- +3% decline as well as 12% incline
- +22 x 60 inch deck
Cons
- −Most features need an iFIT membership
- −Weighs more than 300 lb and needs two people to assemble
- −Warranty does not cover use in a garage

- 22" x 60"
- Top speed
- 12 mph

#6
BowFlex Treadmill 10
by BowFlex
The Treadmill 10 is the pick for tall and heavy users. Its 22 by 60 inch deck ties the Commercial 1750 as the largest here, it is rated for 400 lb, and it adds a 5% decline to a 15% incline. Tom's Guide liked the long, cushioned deck and the physical controls you can reach mid-stride, and BarBend found its 4.0 HP motor strong for the money.
It needs space: the machine weighs 323 lb and has a large footprint. Tom's Guide ran into misaligned bolt holes during assembly, most workouts sit behind a JRNY membership, and Amazon owners rate it 3.4 stars, the lowest here.
Wait on this one. A third-party seller has it at about $3,000, unchanged for 90 days and about $1,250 more than it sold for in early November last year.
Pros
- +22 x 60 inch deck, tied with the Commercial 1750 as the largest here
- +Rated for users up to 400 lb
- +5% decline as well as 15% incline
- +Physical speed and incline controls within easy reach
Cons
- −Very large footprint and 323 lb machine weight
- −Most workouts need a JRNY membership
- −Bolt holes can misalign during assembly
- Deck
- 22" x 60"
- Top speed
- 12 mph
- Incline
- -5% to 15%
- Max user weight

How to choose a treadmill this Black Friday
Decide whether you will run. Running needs a deck of at least 20 by 60 inches and a motor of about 3.0 HP or more. Only the Horizon 7.0 AT, the NordicTrack Commercial 1750 and the BowFlex Treadmill 10 have 60 inch decks. For walking and jogging, the 55 inch decks on the T101 Connect and T 6.5 S are enough and cost far less.
Measure the room, including the ceiling. A walking pad like the WalkingPad C2 folds small enough to store under furniture. A full-size treadmill needs clear floor behind the deck, and you stand higher on it, especially at full incline, so add the step-up height and a few inches to your own height before buying for a basement.
Settle the subscription question before the brand. NordicTrack's best features run on iFIT and BowFlex's on JRNY, both monthly memberships. The Horizon machines work with apps you may already use, and the WalkingPad needs no membership.
Ignore the list price. Compare a Black Friday price with what the treadmill sold for over the past 90 days and its 12-month low, which we quote in every Pick. The T 6.5 S fell to $549 last Thanksgiving week, so a "sale" at $750 would only match what it has sold for since summer.
Check the seller, delivery and return window. Three of these listings were sold by third-party sellers when we checked. Full-size treadmills weigh about 200 to more than 300 lb, so read the delivery terms, see whether paid assembly is offered, and confirm the return date on your order page before the box arrives.
How we chose these treadmill deals
Every deal on this page was selected and checked by Ed Hollinghurst. We start from products with a strong track record in independent reviews and owner feedback, then compare the current Black Friday price against the product's typical selling price over the past months, not just the inflated list price. A deal only makes the cut if the product is genuinely good and the discount is real.
