Best Gaming Laptop Black Friday Deals 2026

Gaming laptop Black Friday deals from ASUS, Acer, Lenovo and Alienware, each checked against what it actually sold for on Amazon, not its list price.

By Ed HollinghurstUpdated October 31, 2026

Gaming laptops cost more this fall than they did a year ago. Memory prices rose sharply through 2026, and MSI told investors it would raise gaming laptop prices by 15–30%. When we checked on October 31, none of the seven laptops below was meaningfully under its recent selling price; the best we found was the Acer Nitro V 16 AI at about $27 under its 90-day average. Every one sold for at least $300 less at some point in the past year, and those prices are the bar to beat.

We chose these on reviews and specs, then checked each Amazon price against what the laptop sold for over the past 90 days and its lowest price of the past year, not its list price. Three were sold by third-party sellers when we checked, and their Picks say so.

#1Best overall

ASUS ROG Strix G16 (2025) G615LR

by ASUS

$2,755.39$3,199.9914% off
View on Amazon

The Strix G16 is the gaming laptop we would buy for a 1440p screen at high frame rates. Its RTX 5070 Ti has 12GB of video memory, a real step over the 8GB cards further down this list, and ASUS ships it with 32GB of DDR5 and a 1TB SSD, so nothing needs adding in a year when memory is costly. 91mobiles scored its performance 9 out of 10, and it led most of the October Prime Big Deal Days roundups we read.

Skip it if you want long battery life or a quiet machine: 91mobiles marked battery as its weak spot, and the fans get loud under load. The Helios Neo below has the same processor and graphics for less.

At about $2,755 from Amazon, it is roughly $180 above its 90-day average and nearly $900 above the $1,880 it sold for on November 20 last year. This is not a deal yet; we would wait for Black Friday week.

Pros

  • RTX 5070 Ti with 12GB of video memory
  • 32GB of DDR5 and a 1TB SSD out of the box
  • 16-inch 2.5K screen at 240Hz
  • Wi-Fi 7

Cons

  • Short battery life
  • Loud fans under load
  • RGB-heavy styling will not suit everyone

Acer Predator Helios Neo 16 AI (PHN16-73)

by Acer

The Helios Neo 16 AI pairs the same Core Ultra 9 275HX and RTX 5070 Ti as the Strix G16 with a 240Hz G-Sync screen, for about $555 less as we checked. Buy it if you want the Strix's parts for less and can live with 16GB of RAM, which runs today's games but leaves less headroom than the Strix's 32GB. Amazon owners give it 4.2 stars across 83 ratings.

It ranks below the Strix because we found no hands-on review of this exact configuration. Notebookcheck and PCWorld have tested other Helios Neo models, so this Pick rests on its parts list and that wider record.

At about $2,200 from Amazon, it costs around $215 more than its 90-day average. It sold for $1,600 on January 1, and a price closer to that is what we would hold out for.

Pros

  • Same Core Ultra 9 275HX and RTX 5070 Ti as the Strix G16
  • 16-inch WQXGA screen at 240Hz with G-Sync
  • 1TB Gen 4 SSD

Cons

  • 16GB of RAM is light for an RTX 5070 Ti laptop

#3

Lenovo LOQ 15 Gen 10 (15AHP10)

by Lenovo

The LOQ 15 is the cheapest way we found into an RTX 5060 running at full power. That matters because the same chip is held to 80W in some rivals, including the Alienware below. Notebookcheck found strong 1080p performance and a solid build, and PC Gamer scored it 80%. It suits players aiming at 1080p who mostly game plugged in.

The screen is the catch. PCWorld found that the 144Hz panel smears in fast motion and that the battery runs down quickly, and scored it 50%. If battery life matters more than graphics power, the Nitro V 16 AI costs less.

A third-party seller had it at about $1,300 when we checked, only about $12 under its 90-day average. It was $930 in December, so there is room for a real Black Friday cut.

Pros

  • RTX 5060 at full power for the least money here
  • Strong 1080p frame rates in Notebookcheck testing
  • Solid build for the price

Cons

  • 144Hz panel blurs in fast motion
  • Short battery life

#4Best budget

Acer Nitro V 16 AI (ANV16-42)

by Acer

The Nitro V 16 AI is the cheapest gaming laptop here that we would buy. PCWorld named it its best gaming laptop under $1,000 at the price it sold for then, and Tom's Guide measured more than 60 fps at 1080p medium settings in Black Myth: Wukong. PCWorld and Notebookcheck both praised its battery life, which is rare at this price, and its 16-inch screen is roomier than the LOQ's.

The Ryzen 5 240 is the weak part. PCWorld found it slow, which holds it back in CPU-heavy games, and the speakers sound thin. Amazon owners are cooler on it than reviewers, at 3.6 stars from 41 ratings, so keep the return window in mind. If you want more graphics power, the LOQ 15 costs about $260 more.

At about $1,040 from a third-party seller, it is about $27 under its 90-day average. It dropped to $709 last December, so treat this price as a ceiling rather than a deal.

Pros

  • Good battery life for a gaming laptop
  • Playable 1080p frame rates at medium settings
  • 16-inch 16:10 screen at 180Hz

Cons

  • Ryzen 5 240 is slow in CPU-heavy games
  • Thin, tinny speakers
  • Plain keyboard

#5

Alienware 16 Aurora (AC16250)

by Alienware

$1,584.99$2,299.9931% off
View on Amazon

The Alienware 16 Aurora is the one to pick if you will often play or work away from an outlet. Laptop Media got more than seven and a half hours from a charge and found its 16-inch QHD+ screen color-accurate. Tom's Hardware's verdict was that it trades performance for that endurance.

The reason is its RTX 5060, which Dell caps at 80W. Notebookcheck says it handles 1080p at ultra settings but struggles at the screen's native resolution. If frame rates matter more than battery, the LOQ 15 runs the same chip at full power for less.

Amazon had it at about $1,585, roughly $20 over its 90-day average. Ignore the $2,300 list price: it sold for $1,100 on November 20 last year.

Pros

  • More than seven hours of battery in Laptop Media testing
  • Color-accurate 16-inch QHD+ screen
  • 1TB SSD

Cons

  • RTX 5060 capped at 80W
  • Struggles at the screen's native resolution in demanding games
  • Fan noise under load

#6Best premium

ASUS ROG Zephyrus G14 (2025)

by ASUS

The Zephyrus G14 is the gaming laptop to carry every day. It fits an RTX 5070 Ti and a 3K OLED screen into a 14-inch chassis, and Notebookcheck found its graphics close to a laptop RTX 5080 and called it an excellent overall package. Ultrabook Review scored it 90%. It suits students and travelers who want one machine for class, work and games.

The small chassis has costs. It runs warm, ASUS gives the graphics chip less power than in 16-inch models like the Strix G16, and its LPDDR5X memory is soldered, so 32GB is all it will ever have. TechRadar recommends it if portability comes first and you can put up with the heat.

This is the priciest Pick and not a deal. A third-party seller had it at about $3,035, around $260 over its 90-day average, and it sold for $2,369 in April.

Pros

  • RTX 5070 Ti in a 14-inch chassis
  • 3K OLED screen at 120Hz
  • 32GB of RAM and a 1TB SSD

Cons

  • Runs warm under load
  • Graphics power limited by the small chassis
  • Soldered memory cannot be upgraded
  • Glossy screen reflects room light

ASUS TUF Gaming F16 (2025)

by ASUS

$1,258.12$1,299.993% off
View on Amazon

The TUF F16 is the budget alternative to the Nitro V 16 AI for anyone who would rather buy from Amazon itself. ASUS rates its RTX 5050 at up to 115W, the top of that chip's range, and the 16-inch 165Hz screen is the same size as the Nitro's. PC Gamer scored the RTX 5050 TUF 70%, and Amazon owners give it 4.5 stars across 135 ratings.

It ranks last because it costs about $215 more than the Nitro for similar 1080p play, and the TUF line is noisy: fan noise under load was TechRadar's main complaint about its TUF A16 sibling. The 512GB SSD will need company before long.

At about $1,260 from Amazon, it is within $15 of its 90-day average, and it sold for $840 in June. If it is a gift, check the delivery date on the listing before you order.

Pros

  • RTX 5050 rated at up to 115W
  • 16-inch 16:10 screen at 165Hz
  • Wi-Fi 6E

Cons

  • Loud fans under load

How to choose a gaming laptop this Black Friday

Match the graphics chip to your screen. The RTX 5050 and RTX 5060 are 1080p chips with 8GB of video memory. For 1440p at high refresh rates, the RTX 5070 Ti in the Strix G16, Helios Neo 16 AI and Zephyrus G14 has 12GB and is the tier we would buy.

Check the graphics power, not just the chip's name. A laptop RTX 5060 can run anywhere from about 65W to 115W, and the lower figure costs frame rate. Look for TGP or graphics power on the manufacturer's spec sheet. The Alienware 16 Aurora holds its RTX 5060 to 80W; the cheaper LOQ 15 runs the same chip at full power.

Buy the memory you need now. Memory prices rose this year, so adding RAM later costs more than it used to, and thin laptops with LPDDR5X memory cannot be upgraded at all. 16GB runs current games; 32GB leaves room for streaming and recording. A 512GB SSD holds only a few large games.

Ignore the list price. The Alienware shows a list price near $2,300 but has averaged about $1,565 over the past 90 days. Judge a deal by the 90-day average and the 12-month low we quote in each Pick. Two of these laptops hit their lowest price of the past 12 months the week before Thanksgiving last year, so start watching early.

Check the seller and the return window. The LOQ 15, Nitro V 16 AI and Zephyrus G14 were sold by third-party sellers when we checked. Look at who sells and ships the laptop on the listing, and confirm the return date on your order page, because a loud fan or a screen you dislike is easier to send back in the first few weeks.

Gaming Laptop Black Friday FAQ

When do gaming laptop Black Friday deals start in 2026?

Black Friday is November 27 and Cyber Monday is November 30 this year, but the best prices can come earlier. Last year the ROG Strix G16 and Alienware 16 Aurora both hit their lowest Amazon prices of the past 12 months on November 20, a week before Black Friday. When we checked on October 31, none of our Picks was more than about $30 under its 90-day average.

Is Black Friday 2026 a good time to buy a gaming laptop with prices up this year?

It can be, but expect deal prices above last year's. A shortage of memory chips pushed laptop prices up through 2026: MSI told investors it would raise gaming laptop prices by 15% to 30%, according to Notebookcheck, and Dell put its own increase at about 15% to 20%. Every Pick here costs more than its lowest price of the past year, so judge a Black Friday price against its recent selling price.

Which laptop graphics card do I need for 1080p or 1440p?

An RTX 5050 or RTX 5060 is enough for 1080p at medium to high settings. For 1440p at high refresh rates, we would buy an RTX 5070 Ti, which has 12GB of video memory against 8GB on the RTX 5050, 5060 and 5070. The Strix G16, Helios Neo 16 AI and Zephyrus G14 all use it.

Why do two laptops with the same RTX graphics chip perform differently?

Because each manufacturer sets how much power the chip may draw, and cooling decides how long it holds that power. A laptop RTX 5060 can run anywhere from about 65W to 115W: the Alienware 16 Aurora holds its chip to 80W, while the cheaper LOQ 15 runs it at full power. Look for TGP or graphics power on the manufacturer's spec sheet before you buy.

Is 16GB of RAM and a 512GB SSD enough for a gaming laptop?

16GB runs current games, but 512GB holds only a handful of large installs once Windows takes its share. Many 16-inch gaming laptops use removable memory and have a second SSD slot, so check the manufacturer's spec sheet before you count on upgrading. Thin models with LPDDR5X memory, such as the Zephyrus G14, cannot be upgraded, so buy the amount you need up front.

Should I buy a gaming laptop with an OLED screen?

Buy OLED if you want deep blacks and strong contrast for games and films, as on the Zephyrus G14. OLED panels are usually glossy and can reflect room light, and some flicker at low brightness. For competitive shooters, refresh rate matters more: the Strix G16 and Helios Neo 16 AI run at 240Hz, twice the G14's 120Hz.

How we chose these gaming laptop deals

Every deal on this page was selected and checked by Ed Hollinghurst. We start from products with a strong track record in independent reviews and owner feedback, then compare the current Black Friday price against the product's typical selling price over the past months, not just the inflated list price. A deal only makes the cut if the product is genuinely good and the discount is real.
