OLED is the big change in monitors this year. A 27-inch 1440p OLED gaming screen that cost $800 or more in 2024 now sells for a few hundred dollars: the LG 27GX704A-B costs about $400 at Amazon, and it was cheaper still in mid-October. Office monitors follow the calendar more closely: Dell's S2725QS hit its lowest price of the past year on Black Friday 2025.
We checked every price against what each monitor sold for on Amazon over the past 90 days and its lowest price of the past 12 months, not its list price. As of October 31, most are not discounted yet, and each Pick says how far it sits from a good price.
Our picks at a glance
8 deals1.Sharp 4K and 120Hz for work, Macs and casual games, with speakers built in. Not discounted yet; it was $199.99 last Black Friday.
2.The OLED we would buy for gaming, scored 9.0 for PC gaming by RTINGS. A little over its usual price; it was about $332 on October 20.
3.The cheapest monitor we would work on all day: 1440p, 144Hz and a fully adjustable stand. Within a few dollars of its usual price.
4.Mini LED HDR and high contrast at a budget price, with flicker and blooming as the trade-offs. About $26 above its usual price.
5.One USB-C cable for picture and 65W charging, on a 1440p 144Hz screen. At its usual price; it sold for $189.99 in June.
6.A 34-inch 240Hz QD-OLED ultrawide with a 3-year warranty that covers burn-in. About $15 under its 90-day average.
7.5K sharpness for a Mac at less than half the Studio Display's price, with 96W USB-C. Above its usual price right now.
8.RTINGS's best OLED monitor of 2026: 4K and 240Hz at 32 inches. At its usual price; it dipped to about $1,232 in August.

#1Best overall
Dell 27 Plus 4K Monitor (S2725QS)
by Dell
The S2725QS is the monitor we would put on most desks. A 4K panel at 27 inches makes text crisp, which matters more than refresh rate for anyone who works in documents or plugs in a MacBook, and 120Hz keeps scrolling smooth. RTINGS measured low input lag and rates it a clear upgrade over the older S2721QS. Built-in speakers save a laptop user from buying another gadget for calls.
If you play fast shooters, buy the LG 27GX704A-B instead: RTINGS saw blurry motion here, and HDR is weak. If you want one-cable USB-C, the Dell S2725DC below has it at 1440p.
At about $280 from Amazon, it costs roughly $16 more than its 90-day average. It sold for $199.99 on Black Friday last year, its lowest price of the past 12 months, and that is the number we would wait for.
Pros
- +Crisp 4K text on a 27-inch screen
- +120Hz makes scrolling and casual games smoother
- +Low input lag in RTINGS testing
- +Built-in speakers
Cons

LG UltraGear 27GX704A-B OLED
by LG
Of the new, cheaper OLEDs, the 27GX704A-B is the one we would buy for gaming. RTINGS scored it 9.0 for PC gaming, pointing to its near-instant response, low input lag and the deep blacks only an OLED delivers.
It is a gaming screen first. The glossy finish picks up lamps and windows, and LG's WOLED subpixel layout leaves colored fringes on small text, so anyone who spends the day in spreadsheets is better served by the Dell S2725QS. Brightness is only average, which matters in a sunny room.
At about $400 from Amazon, it costs around $17 more than its 90-day average, and it dipped to about $332 on October 20. We would hold out for a price near that.
Pros
- +RTINGS scored it 9.0 for PC gaming
- +Near-instant response and low input lag
- +Deep OLED blacks
- +240Hz with G-Sync and FreeSync support
Cons
- −Glossy screen reflects lamps and windows
- −Colored fringes on small text
- −Only average brightness

#3Best budget
Dell 27 Plus QHD Monitor (S2725DSM)
by Dell
This is the cheapest monitor here we would use for a full workday. The S2725DSM is Dell's 2026 update to the S2725DS, moving from 100Hz to 144Hz in the same chassis, and it keeps the parts budget monitors usually drop: a stand that raises, tilts, swivels and turns to portrait, and a pair of speakers. At 1440p, a 27-inch screen fits two windows side by side comfortably.
We have not found a lab review of this exact model. Monitornerds rated the S2725DS among Dell's best monitors for the money, and RTINGS and TechRadar both liked the S2725DC, which shares this resolution and refresh rate and adds USB-C. Skip it if you need USB-C or HDR.
At about $190 from Amazon, it is within a few dollars of its 90-day average. It fell to $169.99 during Amazon's October Prime sale.
Pros
- +1440p at 144Hz
- +Stand adjusts for height, tilt, swivel and pivot
- +Two 3W speakers
- +AMD FreeSync for smoother games
Cons
- −No USB-C or USB hub
- −No HDR
- Screen
- 27-inch flat
- Resolution
- 2560 x 1440
- Refresh rate

AOC Q27G3XMN Mini LED
by AOC
The Q27G3XMN is the cheapest monitor here with HDR that has real punch. Its Mini LED backlight dims in 336 zones behind a high-contrast VA panel, and RTINGS named it the best budget monitor of 2026, with a picture ahead of most monitors at its price. TechSpot found the stand fully adjustable, which is rare in this class.
Know the trade-offs before you buy. Monitors Unboxed saw dark scenes smear and the screen flicker with variable refresh rate on, and reviewers also found bright objects on black backgrounds glow at the edges. The full 180Hz needs DisplayPort; over HDMI, which consoles use, it stops at 144Hz. The LG OLED above avoids the blooming and smearing, for about $120 more.
It is not a deal right now. At about $276 from Amazon it costs around $26 more than its 90-day average and about $46 more than its late-July low of $229.99.
Pros
- +Mini LED backlight with 336 dimming zones
- +Bright HDR highlights
- +Far higher contrast than IPS rivals
- +Fully adjustable stand
Cons
- −Flicker with variable refresh rate in dark scenes
- −Blooming around bright objects
- −Smearing in dark transitions
- −180Hz over DisplayPort only; HDMI stops at 144Hz
- Screen
- 27-inch flat
- Resolution
- 2560 x 1440

Dell 27 Plus QHD USB-C Monitor (S2725DC)
by Dell
For a laptop on a desk, the S2725DC is the simplest setup we recommend. One USB-C cable carries the picture, a USB hub and up to 65W of charging, so most thin-and-light laptops need nothing else plugged in. It is essentially the S2725DSM with that port added. RTINGS rated it 7.7 for office use and measured a bright, accurate picture, and TechRadar called it close to ideal as a budget business monitor.
65W suits most ultrabooks and a MacBook Air, but a gaming laptop or a 16-inch MacBook Pro under load will charge slowly or drain. There is no HDR, and RTINGS found it weak for console gaming. If you never plug in a laptop, the S2725DSM is the same screen for less.
At about $250 from Amazon, it is within a couple of dollars of its 90-day average. It sold for $189.99 in late June.
Pros
- +USB-C with 65W laptop charging
- +Bright, accurate picture in RTINGS testing
- +Built-in USB hub
- +Stand adjusts for height, tilt, swivel and pivot
- +Two 3W speakers
Cons
- −65W is too little for power-hungry laptops
- −No HDR
- −Weak for console gaming in RTINGS testing
- Screen
- 27-inch flat
- Resolution
- 2560 x 1440
- Refresh rate
- 144Hz

Alienware AW3425DW 34-inch QD-OLED
by Alienware
The AW3425DW is the ultrawide we would buy. Its 34-inch curved QD-OLED runs at 240Hz, and PCWorld found its SDR and HDR picture top-notch for the money. Alienware's three-year warranty covers burn-in, which takes most of the worry out of an OLED you will also use for work, and the stand is compact for a screen this wide.
It is a gaming and media monitor more than a laptop dock: there is no USB-C charging, no KVM switch and no speakers. Reviewers also noted colored fringes on small text and fairly dim HDR. Alienware has since released a 280Hz successor, the AW3426DW, which we could not find on Amazon.
At about $700 from Amazon, it is roughly $15 under its 90-day average, the only Pick below its recent price when we checked. That is a small cut; it sold for $614.99 in late June.
Pros
- +Top-notch SDR and HDR picture in PCWorld testing
- +240Hz at 3440 x 1440
- +Three-year warranty that covers burn-in
- +Compact stand for a 34-inch screen
Cons
- −No USB-C charging or KVM switch
- −No speakers
- −Colored fringes on small text
- −Fairly dim in HDR

- 34-inch curved ultrawide

- 3440 x 1440

ASUS ProArt Display 5K PA27JCV
by ASUS
On a Mac, 5K at 27 inches is the pixel density macOS looks sharpest at, and the PA27JCV gets you there for less than half what Amazon charges for Apple's Studio Display. Tom's Hardware rated its color accuracy reference-level, RTINGS found text sharp, and one USB-C cable connects a MacBook and charges it at up to 96W.
It is a work monitor. At 60Hz with slow motion handling, it is poor for games, and HDR highlights lack impact. The plastic body and wobbly stand feel cheaper than the price, and its Amazon rating of 3.7 stars is the lowest of our Picks, so keep the box until you are sure.
At $699 from Amazon, it costs about $36 more than its 90-day average and $65 more than its late-June low of $634. It is not a deal yet.
Pros
- +5K at 27 inches, the same sharpness as Apple's Studio Display
- +Color accuracy Tom's Hardware rated reference-level
- +USB-C with 96W laptop charging
Cons
- −60Hz with poor motion handling, so not for games
- −Plastic build and a wobbly stand
- −Weak speakers
- −USB-C only, no Thunderbolt
- Screen
- 27-inch flat
- Resolution
- 5120 x 2880 (5K)
- Refresh rate
- 60Hz

ASUS ROG Swift OLED PG32UCDM3 (Gen 3)
by ASUS
If price is no object, this is the monitor to buy. RTINGS named ASUS's third-generation PG32UCDM the best OLED monitor of 2026, and Tom's Hardware calls it a true flagship. A 32-inch 4K screen at 240Hz is sharp enough for a full workday and fast enough for competitive games, provided your graphics card can drive 4K at high frame rates.
TechSpot found it dims noticeably with ELMB motion blur reduction turned on. It has no speakers, it is heavy, and ASUS's warranty runs two years where Alienware's runs three. The first-generation PG32UCDM is still on Amazon, but only from a third-party seller at about the same price, so the Gen 3 is the one to get.
At $1,299 from Amazon it sits at its 90-day average. It dipped to about $1,232 in late August.
Pros
- +Named the best OLED monitor of 2026 by RTINGS
- +4K at 240Hz on a 32-inch screen
- +Sharp enough for a full workday as well as games
Cons
- −Dims noticeably with ELMB motion blur reduction on
- −No speakers
- −Heavy
- −Two-year warranty, shorter than Alienware's three
- Screen
- 32-inch flat
- Resolution
- 3840 x 2160 (4K)
- Refresh rate
- 240Hz
- Panel
- OLED (tandem)

How to choose a monitor this Black Friday
Match the resolution to the screen size and the job. At 27 inches, 1440p is fine for games and everyday Windows work, 4K makes text clearly sharper, and 5K is the choice for a Mac. At 32 inches, buy 4K.
Buy only the refresh rate your computer can use. A 240Hz OLED like the LG 27GX704A-B needs a graphics card that can push well over 100 frames per second at 1440p to show what it can do. For office work and consoles, 120Hz to 144Hz is plenty.
Count the cables if you use a laptop. The Dell S2725DC (65W) and ASUS PA27JCV (96W) charge a laptop over the same USB-C cable that carries the picture. The Dell S2725QS, Dell S2725DSM and Alienware AW3425DW have no USB-C charging, so a laptop needs a video cable plus its own charger.
Treat OLED as a gaming and movie choice. OLED gives the best contrast and motion here, but a static taskbar and spreadsheets all day carry some burn-in risk, and small text shows slight color fringing. Favor a long warranty that names burn-in, like Alienware's three years.
Ignore the list price. The struck-through price on a card is often a number few people have paid in months. Judge a deal by the 90-day average and 12-month low we quote in each Pick, and check that Amazon itself is the seller before you order.
How we chose these monitor deals
Every deal on this page was selected and checked by Ed Hollinghurst. We start from products with a strong track record in independent reviews and owner feedback, then compare the current Black Friday price against the product's typical selling price over the past months, not just the inflated list price. A deal only makes the cut if the product is genuinely good and the discount is real.
