UGG's core Chestnut boots and slippers rarely go on sale, Black Friday included. When we checked Amazon in late October, none of the eight boots and slippers below cost less than its recent selling price. Two have been much cheaper this year: the Classic Ultra Mini and the Ultra Mini Platform both sold for $135 in late June, about $30 and $40 under today's prices.
We compared every price with what the same listing sold for on Amazon over the past 90 days and its lowest price of the past year, not the list price. UGG prices on Amazon differ by size and color; we priced Chestnut in women's 8, men's 10 and kids' 1.
Our picks at a glance
8 deals1.The short, easy-on boot most UGG shoppers want. At its usual Amazon price now; it sold for about $30 less in June.
2.UGG's best-selling slipper in its current version, with a sole for quick trips outside. No more than $5 cheaper in the past year.
3.Reviewed's top women's slipper, tied for the cheapest adult UGG here. It has not been cheaper on Amazon in the past year.
4.The Ultra Mini on a 2-inch platform. At its usual price now; it sold for about $40 less in late June.
5.A sheepskin slide for men that Reviewed found warm without sweat. It has not been cheaper on Amazon in the past year.
6.A Tasman-style slipper on a platform about 1.75 inches tall, for more time outside. No more than $5 cheaper in the past year.
7.The Ultra Mini in kids' sizes, warm and easy for kids to pull on. No more than $5 cheaper in the past year.
8.The original tall UGG, with the most coverage of any boot here. At its usual price, and rarely discounted.

UGG Women's Classic Ultra Mini Boot (Chestnut)
by UGG
The Classic Ultra Mini is the UGG most shoppers have in mind, and the one we would buy first. Its shaft stops about 3.5 inches up, low enough to pull on in seconds and to wear with almost anything. A Shop TODAY editor who owns a pair calls it warm and worth the money, and Gulf News rated it a good boot for cool weather and travel.
Skip it if you need a boot for slush: the treatment repels light rain and stains but is not waterproofing. The lining also packs down after a season or two.
It is not discounted. At about $165 from Amazon it matches its 90-day average, and it sold for $135 in late June. That June price is the one to hold out for.
Pros
- +Low shaft that pulls on and off quickly
- +Warm enough for cool, dry days and travel
- +Goes with leggings, jeans or a dress
- +4.5 stars from more than 10,000 Amazon ratings

UGG Women's Tasman II Slipper (Chestnut)
by UGG
The Tasman is UGG's best-selling slipper, and Gear Patrol reports that the Tasman II has replaced it across men's, women's and kids' sizes, with a reworked lining and insole. Its outsole is why it ranks second: this is a slipper you can wear to the mailbox or on a coffee run without changing shoes. Several Shop TODAY staffers own one and single out the footbed.
It runs small, so most buyers should go up a size, and it is not made for wet weather.
Do not expect much from Black Friday here. At about $130 from Amazon it sits at its 90-day average, and it has not sold for less than about $125 in the past year.
Pros
- +Outsole that handles errands and the driveway
- +Reworked lining and insole over the original Tasman
- +Footbed praised by several Shop TODAY staffers who own it
- +4.7 stars from about 4,000 Amazon ratings

#3Best budget
UGG Women's Scuffette II Slipper (Chestnut)
by UGG
The Scuffette II is the cheapest women's UGG we would buy, and it has the strongest test record of anything here: Reviewed named it the best women's slipper after weeks of wear and added it to its Best of Year list for 2025. Its testers found it warm without sweaty feet and said the sole held on wet floors.
It is backless, so it covers less of the foot than the Tasman II and is a house slipper first. Reviewed's testers also found it tight for the first few days.
At about $100 from Amazon, it has not been cheaper in the past year. That makes it a predictable gift rather than a Black Friday deal.
Pros
- +Reviewed's Best Overall women's slipper after weeks of wear
- +Warm without making feet sweat
- +Cushioned sole that grips wet floors
- +4.7 stars from more than 23,000 Amazon ratings
Cons
- −Tight for the first few days
- −Backless, so it covers less of the foot
- −No cleaning instructions in the box

- Slide slipper

UGG Women's Classic Ultra Mini Platform Boot (Chestnut)
by UGG
The Ultra Mini Platform puts the same short boot on a 2-inch sole, by Footwear News's measure, and it is the version to buy if you want the height. Shop TODAY's owner liked the lining but found the platform heavy, and getting it on takes more effort than with the flat Ultra Mini.
Sizing advice is split between true to size and a half size down, and UGG makes Classic boots in whole sizes only, so order early enough to exchange.
At about $175 from Amazon it is at its 90-day average and about $10 more than the flat Ultra Mini. It fell to $135 in late June, the widest gap between today's price and the 12-month low of any Pick here.
Pros
- +2-inch platform adds height
- +Plush lining, per Shop TODAY's owner
- +Same short shaft as the flat Ultra Mini
Cons
- −Heavy on the foot
- −Harder to pull on than the flat version
- −Sizing advice is split

- Platform ankle boot
- Platform
- 2 in

UGG Men's Scuff Slipper (Chestnut)
by UGG
The Scuff is the men's UGG gift we would buy: a sheepskin slide that goes on without hands. Reviewed's tester found it warm without sweat and a good fit. OutdoorGearLab praised its build but placed it eighth among the men's slippers it tested and found the open heel let cold air in.
The sole is thin, so this is a house slipper, and Reviewed found the heel logo a little scratchy. For a slipper that also handles the driveway, the men's Tasman is the better shoe, but both Chestnut sizes we priced were sold only by third-party sellers, so we left it out.
At about $100 from Amazon, the Scuff costs the same as the Scuffette II and has not been cheaper in the past year.
Pros
- +Warm without sweat in Reviewed's test
- +Strong build in OutdoorGearLab's testing
- +Slides on without using your hands
- +4.7 stars from more than 16,000 Amazon ratings
Cons
- −Thin sole
- −Open heel lets cold air in
- −Heel logo can feel scratchy

#6
UGG Women's Tazz II Slipper (Chestnut)
by UGG
The Tazz II puts a Tasman-style slipper on a platform about 1.75 inches tall, by NBC Select's measure. It is the slipper to choose if you want height or expect to wear it outside as much as in; Woman & Home prefers the Tazz to the Tasman for outdoor wear. It takes the place of the Goldenstar Clog, which was listed only by third-party sellers on Amazon when we checked.
We found no hands-on US test of the Tazz II, so this rank leans on its 4.7-star rating from about 1,700 Amazon buyers and on fit notes. Expect a stiff upper for the first few wears and mixed reports on sizing.
At about $150 from Amazon it is at its 90-day average and has not been more than $5 cheaper in the past year.
Pros
- +Platform sole of about 1.75 inches
- +Better suited to outdoor wear than the Tasman
- +4.7 stars from about 1,700 Amazon ratings
Cons
- −Upper feels stiff for the first wears
- −Mixed reports on sizing

- Platform slipper

UGG Kids' Classic Ultra Mini Boot (Chestnut)
by UGG
The kids' Classic Ultra Mini is the same short boot in Little Kid and Big Kid sizes, and it is the one to buy for a child who wants what their parent wears. Parents in retailer reviews call it warm and easy for kids to pull on by themselves. Big Kid sizes also fit some adults with small feet; check UGG's size chart before you try it.
Buy a half to a full size up for a growing child, and treat it like the adult boot: fine in cold, dry weather, not in slush.
At about $135 from Amazon in a size 1, it is at its 90-day average and has not been more than $5 cheaper in the past year.
Pros
- +Same short boot as the adult best seller
- +Easy for kids to pull on themselves
- +Big Kid sizes fit some adults with small feet
Cons
- −Sizing for growing feet takes guesswork
- −Treated against light rain, not waterproof
- Style
- Kids' ankle boot

- Outdoors, dry weather

UGG Women's Classic Tall II Boot (Chestnut)
by UGG
The Classic Tall II is the original tall sheepskin boot and the most expensive Pick here. It covers the calf, so it is the Classic to choose for long stretches outside in the cold, like a bus stop or the stands at a football game. A Shop TODAY editor's verdict on the Classic II line is that the lining holds up for years. Like the other Classics, it has a water and stain pretreatment, not waterproofing.
The tall shaft slouches at the ankle with wear, and some owners find it tight at first. If you are between sizes, go down.
At about $225 from Amazon it sits at its 90-day average and has not been more than $5 cheaper in the past year. Shop TODAY found the Classic II line at full price last Black Friday too, so treat any cut this year as a bonus.
Pros
- +Tallest shaft here, covering the calf
- +Lining that lasts for years, per a Shop TODAY owner
- +Water and stain pretreatment
Cons
- −Shaft slouches with wear
- −Tight for some at first
- −Whole sizes only

How to choose UGG boots and slippers this Black Friday
Pick the height before the color. The Ultra Mini is the easiest to wear and to pull on, the Platform adds 2 inches at the cost of weight, and the Tall II covers the calf. Among slippers, the Tasman II and Tazz II have a back and a sole for outdoors, while the Scuffette II and Scuff are backless house slippers.
Size for the style, not for your sneakers. Classic boots come in whole sizes, and UGG advises going down if you are between sizes. The Tasman II runs small, so go up. Order early enough that an exchange arrives before the holidays.
Do not count on a big Chestnut discount. Going into Black Friday last year, Shop TODAY found most core Chestnut styles at full price, with the cuts on other colors and secondary styles. Amazon prices also vary by size and color, so another color in your size may be cheaper than the Chestnut we priced.
Ignore the list price and compare with the past year. Only the Ultra Mini and the Ultra Mini Platform have sold for well under today's price this year, both at $135 in late June. Nothing else has been more than $5 under its current price, so a $5 cut is not a deal.
Check who is selling it. Buy from listings sold by Amazon or UGG. Every Pick here was sold by Amazon when we checked, and a price far below other sellers' is a reason for caution.
How we chose these ugg deals
Every deal on this page was selected and checked by Ed Hollinghurst. We start from products with a strong track record in independent reviews and owner feedback, then compare the current Black Friday price against the product's typical selling price over the past months, not just the inflated list price. A deal only makes the cut if the product is genuinely good and the discount is real.
