Yeti gear rarely sees deep cuts, but last year several of the Amazon listings we track hit their lowest prices of the year in the weeks around Black Friday. The Rambler 26 oz Bottle fell to $28 on November 20, the Hopper M20 to $300 on November 14, and the Colster to $17.50 on Cyber Monday. A month out this year, the Roadie 48 wheeled cooler is the one Pick already at its lowest price of the past year.
We checked every price against what each Product sold for on Amazon over the past 90 days and its lowest price of the past year, not the list price. Most of these listings were sold by third-party sellers rather than Amazon when we checked; each Pick says where it is and is not discounted.
Our picks at a glance
9 deals1.The Yeti most people want: fits cupholders, goes in the dishwasher and holds ice through a workday. Not discounted; it was $28 in January.
2.Yeti's answer to the Stanley Quencher holds 42 oz and still fits a cupholder. At its usual price for three months, though under list.
3.A hard cooler one person can carry, with three days of ice in testing and a new shoulder strap. At its usual price; it was $230 in May.
4.Treeline Review's top soft cooler: leakproof, tough and easy to carry. About $15 under its 90-day average, but it was $225 four days before we checked.
5.The leakproof Yeti for a bag or backpack. A couple of dollars under its recent average, and well above the $28 it sold for last November.
6.The cheapest Yeti here and an easy stocking stuffer, sold by Amazon. At its usual price; it fell to $17.50 on Cyber Monday last year.
7.The backpack cooler Outdoor Life, Field & Stream and The Inertia rank first. About $33 under its 90-day average.
8.A wheeled hard cooler that kept ice for 115 hours in testing. At its lowest price of the past year, about $45 under its 90-day average.
9.Our pick for week-long trips, with ice lasting eight to ten days in independent tests. Not discounted; it has not sold for less all year.

YETI Rambler 20 oz Tumbler with MagSlider Lid, Black
by YETI
The 20 oz Rambler is the Yeti most people picture, and the one we would give first. It drops into a car cupholder, goes in the dishwasher, and owners who carry it through long shifts report ice lasting 12 hours, with about a third still there the next day. It is not the top tumbler in every test: Taste of Home's panel left it out of its top eight among 21 tumblers, though well clear of the worst, while Family Handyman named its 30 oz sibling the best tumbler it tested.
Skip it if your cup rides in a bag. The MagSlider lid stops splashes, not spills; the 26 oz Bottle below is the leakproof option.
At $35 from a third-party seller, it costs about a dollar more than its 90-day average and $7 more than its January low. This is not a deal yet.
Pros
- +Fits most car cupholders
- +Dishwasher safe
- +Owners report ice lasting through a 12-hour shift
- +Keeps coffee warm for four to six hours
Cons
- −MagSlider lid spills if the cup tips over
- −Missed the top eight in Taste of Home's 21-tumbler test
- Type
- Tumbler
- Size
- 20 oz
- Closure
- MagSlider lid, splash-resistant
- Best for
- Car, desk and job site

YETI Rambler 42 oz Straw Mug
by YETI
This is Yeti's answer to the Stanley Quencher and the cup to buy if you drink water all day. Gear Patrol notes that it holds 2 oz more than the 40 oz Quencher at the same list price and still fits a cupholder. PureWow liked the stopper on the straw, which keeps it from sliding out of the lid.
The straw lid has no seal, a complaint CNN Underscored also made about the 35 oz version, and it is not meant for hot drinks. It is heavier than the Quencher when empty, and a few owners report the paint chipping.
At $31.50 from a third-party seller, it is about $13 under the $45 list price, but that is what it has sold for over the past three months. It fell to $27 in late June. The listing did not name a color when we checked, so confirm it before ordering.
Pros
- +2 oz more than the 40 oz Stanley Quencher
- +Fits a car cupholder despite its size
- +Dishwasher safe
- +Straw has a stopper so it stays in the lid
Cons
- −Straw lid is not spillproof
- −Not for hot drinks
- −Heavier empty than the Quencher
- −Some owners report chipped paint
- Type
- Straw mug with handle
- Size
- 42 oz
- Closure
- Straw lid, not spillproof
- Best for
- All-day water

YETI Roadie 24 2.0 Hard Cooler, Charcoal
by YETI
The Roadie 24 is the hard cooler we would buy for day trips, tailgates and a weekend of drinks: it fits behind a car seat and one person can carry it. Tests of the original Roadie 24 hold up well. GearJunkie still had large chunks of ice after 72 hours, and Switchback Travel called its ice retention the best in its size class. The 2.0 adds a shoulder strap and a drain plug.
The catch is room. OutdoorGearLab found it sturdy and kept food cool for nearly a week, but scored it 6.4 out of 10 overall; it is small inside and heavy for its size. Families who need more space should look at the Roadie 48 further down.
At $250 from a third-party seller, it matches its 90-day average. It sold for $230 in May, so we would wait for Black Friday week.
Pros
- +Large chunks of ice left after 72 hours in GearJunkie's test
- +Fits behind a car seat
- +2.0 adds a shoulder strap and a drain plug
- +Holds 33 cans or 26 lb of ice
Cons
- −Small interior for its footprint
- −Heavy for its size at 13.3 lb empty
- Type
- Hard cooler
- Size
- 33 cans or 26 lb of ice
- Closure
- Latched lid, drain plug
- Best for
- Day trips and tailgates

YETI Hopper Flip 12 Soft Cooler, Charcoal
by YETI
The Hopper Flip 12 is the soft cooler we would take to a picnic, a boat or the beach. Treeline Review named it the best soft cooler overall: in its test it still held about half its ice after more than 20 hours in direct sun above 90°F, and its zipper is leakproof. It is light enough to sling over a shoulder. If 12 is the wrong size, the Flip 8 and Flip 18 share the same design.
The zipper is stiff and usually takes two hands, there are no outside pockets, and it falls over when empty. It costs as much as the Roadie 24, which holds ice far longer, so choose it for the lighter carry.
At $250 from a third-party seller, it is about $15 under its 90-day average. It sold for $225 four days before we checked, so the price is moving.
Pros
- +About half its ice left after 20+ hours in 90°F sun (Treeline)
- +Leakproof zipper
- +Rated very durable in Treeline's testing
- +Plenty of handles
Cons
- −Stiff zipper usually takes two hands
- −No outside pockets
- −Tips over when empty
- Type
- Soft cooler
- Size
- Flip 12 (8 and 18 also sold)
- Closure
- Leakproof zipper
- Best for
- Picnics, boats and the beach

YETI Rambler 26 oz Bottle with Chug Cap, Key Lime
by YETI
Buy the bottle if your Yeti travels in a backpack or a work bag. The screw-on Chug Cap is the only fully leakproof top among our drinkware Picks: Advnture rolled it around in a pack without a drip and rated the bottle very durable. The chug spout drinks faster than a straw, and the cap doubles as a carry handle.
Keep hot coffee, soda and anything that can spoil out of it; this cap is not built for them. A few long-term owners say the seal starts to weep after heavy use.
We list Key Lime because the black listing had no price when we checked. At about $45 from a third-party seller, it is a couple of dollars under its 90-day average, but it sold for $28 last November. That is the price to watch for.
Pros
- +Chug Cap stayed dry in Advnture's backpack test
- +Durable steel body
- +Fast-pouring spout
- +Handle built into the cap
Cons
- −Not for hot, carbonated or perishable drinks
- −Some long-term owners report the cap seal weeping
- Type
- Bottle
- Size
- 26 oz
- Closure
- Chug Cap, leakproof
- Best for
- Backpacks and gym bags

YETI Rambler 12 oz Colster Can Insulator, Black
by YETI
The Colster is the cheapest way into Yeti and the obvious stocking stuffer. It wraps a standard 12 oz can in the same vacuum-insulated steel as the Rambler cups, which keeps a drink cold for a few hours at a cookout, though not all day.
We found no independent lab test, so this Pick rests on the Rambler line's record rather than a measured result. It only fits standard cans; slim cans need the Colster Slim. Counterfeits turn up on marketplaces, and this is the one Pick here that Amazon itself was selling when we checked.
At $25 it costs what it usually does. It fell to $17.50 on Cyber Monday last year, which is the price we would hold out for.
Pros
- +Cheapest way to own a Yeti
- +Vacuum-insulated steel, like the Rambler cups
- +Small enough for a stocking
Cons
- −Keeps a can cold for a few hours, not all day
- −Fits standard 12 oz cans only
- −No independent lab test that we could find
- Type
- Can insulator
- Size
- 12 oz standard cans
- Closure
- Open top
- Best for
- Cookouts and stocking stuffers

YETI Hopper M20 Backpack Soft Cooler, Charcoal
by YETI
For a cooler you carry on your back to the beach or down a trail, the Hopper M20 is the one reviewers keep choosing. Outdoor Life, Field & Stream and The Inertia all named it their best backpack cooler. In Outdoor Life's test a bag of ice took 55 hours to melt, and the magnetic opening sealed with no zipper to wrestle. Field & Stream found it sat evenly on the back when loaded.
The shoulder straps are stiff, and the magnetic top is slower to pack than a top-zip bag. If you will mostly carry a cooler by hand, the Flip 12 is cheaper and simpler.
At $325 from a third-party seller, it is about $33 under its 90-day average. It sold for $300 in mid-November last year.
Pros
- +55 hours to melt a bag of ice in Outdoor Life's test
- +Magnetic opening seals without a zipper
- +Carries evenly when loaded
- +Leaves both hands free
Cons
- −Stiff shoulder straps
- −Slower to pack than a top-zip cooler
- Type
- Backpack soft cooler
- Size
- M20
- Closure
- MagShield magnetic opening
- Best for
- Beach walks and trails

YETI Roadie 48 Wheeled Cooler, Venom
by YETI
The Roadie 48 is the clearest saving in this Article. The Venom color we list was $340 from a third-party seller, about $45 under its 90-day average and level with its lowest price of the past year.
It is a hard cooler on wheels for car camping, tailgates and family days out, when a 24 is too small. Outdoor Life named it the most portable cooler it tested: ice lasted 115 hours, it fit in a small car's back seat, and the telescoping handle made it easy to haul when full. Field & Stream called it the most versatile. Outdoor Life's one gripe was a loose drain cap that is easy to lose.
If you need ice for a full week, look at the Tundra 45, which held ice for eight days or more in the tests we found.
Pros
- +115 hours of ice in Outdoor Life's test
- +Wheels and a telescoping handle
- +Fits a small car's back seat
- +Comfortable to lift when loaded
Cons
- −Loose drain cap is easy to lose
- −Bulkier than the Roadie 24
- Type
- Wheeled hard cooler
- Size
- 48
- Closure
- Latched lid, drain plug
- Best for
- Car camping and family days out

YETI Tundra 45 Hard Cooler, White
by YETI
The Tundra 45 is the cooler that made Yeti's name, and the one we would take on a week-long trip. GearJunkie's 10-day test ended with cubed ice still inside, OFAH got about eight and a half days outdoors in June, and AmazingRibs ran out at day 10. Field & Stream named it the best hard cooler, noting that it is bear-resistant when locked and carries a five-year warranty. OutdoorGearLab liked how little space the interior wastes.
It weighs about 23 lb empty, so it is a two-person carry once full, and it holds only 26 cans at a 2:1 ice ratio. For day trips the Roadie 24 makes more sense.
The white listing we track was $325 from a third-party seller, and it has not sold for less at any point in the past year. There is no discount yet.
Pros
- +Cubed ice still left after 10 days in GearJunkie's test
- +Bear-resistant when locked
- +Five-year warranty
- +Little wasted space inside
Cons
- −About 23 lb empty
- −Awkward for one person to carry when full
- −Only 26 cans at a 2:1 ice ratio
- Type
- Hard cooler
- Size
- 26 cans at a 2:1 ice ratio
- Closure
- Latched lid, lockable
- Best for
- Multi-day trips

How to choose Yeti gear this Black Friday
Choose the lid before the cup. The MagSlider and straw lids keep splashes in but spill if the cup tips over. If your drink goes in a bag, buy the 26 oz Bottle with the Chug Cap; if it is hot coffee for the car, look at a Rambler travel mug with the Stronghold lid.
Match the cooler to the length of the trip. A soft cooler like the Hopper Flip 12 or M20 suits a single day out. The Roadie 24 covers a weekend, and the Tundra 45 is the one for a week away from a store.
Think about who carries it. The Roadie 24 weighs 13.3 lb empty and the Tundra 45 about 23 lb, before any ice or drinks. If one person is hauling it, the Roadie 48's wheels or the M20's backpack straps matter more than an extra day of ice.
Ignore the list price and compare colors. The struck-through price on a card is often a number nobody has paid in months. Judge a deal by the 90-day average and 12-month low we quote in each Pick, and check other colors, since each has its own listing and seasonal ones are often cheaper.
Check the seller and the return window. Most listings here were sold by third-party sellers when we checked, and fake Yeti gear does circulate. Look for Amazon or a well-rated seller on the listing, and confirm the return date on your order page, since return terms vary by seller.
How we chose these yeti deals
Every deal on this page was selected and checked by Ed Hollinghurst. We start from products with a strong track record in independent reviews and owner feedback, then compare the current Black Friday price against the product's typical selling price over the past months, not just the inflated list price. A deal only makes the cut if the product is genuinely good and the discount is real.
Product prices and availability are accurate as of the date/time indicated and are subject to change. Any price and availability information displayed on Amazon.com at the time of purchase will apply to the purchase of this product.
